Are you One of the People who call Blogger/Blogspot as a Stupid Blogging Platform? Of corse I'm a WP Fan-boy too. But Wait Blogspot isn't a bad Platform either.
Below is a Screenshot of DesignV7 Which is originally a Wordpress theme by PSDtuts.
Blogger ( Blogspot ) VS Wordpress Head-on.
1. The Race Is half Lost by Blogger, because Wordpress has some awesome developers developing like 100 plugins each minute. And for some reason Developers aren't interested in Blogger.
2. Wait Did you notice that Cheth Studios Current theme is a modified Wordpress Theme " Irresistible " - And now a Blogger Template. Shocked? Oh Please don't be! Almost any Wordpress theme can be coded to Blogger / Blogspot.
3. Wait Aren't you familiar with the envato marketplaces? tutsplus Is one of my personal favorites, of which PSDTUTS
is a part of. No doubt collis the man behind PSDTUTS has designed a great Community Wordpress theme. And few days back when I was debating Wordpress against Blogger. Someone had an open challenge in store for me to create a community theme which has the functionality of a TutsPlus website. And resulted in this blogger template coded in 5 hours Flat. The point to be noted is If a designer like me can code it down. Why aren't The Elite Developers shifting focus towards Blogger Platform?
PLEASE NOTE: THIS PSDTUTS THEME IS A CREATION BY Collis and he virtually owns this Blogger template too. I've created this template just to show that a Powerful Wordpress theme can be recreated on Blogger. No Other Intentions. This template wont be Sold / put to download until Collis allows me to.
I happened to read the ThemeForst Forum and you can see what Collis had to say about recreation of the PSDtuts Theme. And this Post is dedicated just to show how the PSDtuts can be coded into Blogger For Real. And If You're a Wordpress coder spare a thought. And If you are a Blogspot user and want this PSDTUTS Blogger template. Go ask Collis.. He is the owner of PSDTUTS and I wont redistribute it until he allows.
Now Click on the Jumper Menu with a azy load effect! Impressive isn't it? And You thought such things were possible only in WordPress. ;)
PS: The Theme Was coded in 5 Hours so I didn't waste much time in implementing all the features. But I can do it.
I Dont want to be called a WordPress Theme Ripper. So I repeat This theme is originally Done by the PSDtuts Guys! And they own the copyrights. If anyone feels offended by this Post. Kindly contact me and I will remove this Post.

great a new template i like this one, psd tuts has a simplistic yet appealing template. gret job cheth. I think converting becomes a bit easy if you know a little bit of php but rest i donno, i didn't get the hang of it.

ReplyDeletePlease be kind to tell us your name :) If you know css/xhtml then you're almost 2 steps away :) jquery can be used on blogger platform too.. Blogger is a way esier platform than wordpress. Did you try desinging in blogger? I think should try it :)

ReplyDeleteWhen someone talk for blogger #templates we are the first that should replay, he he, because we do this.
Now any designer / coder know that any template can be done on Blogger, its not important that this template is on wp / HTML / CSS / Jomla etc, but remember, template above can't call blogger template, but a copy paste of PSDTUTS code, if you release today, noone from serious Blogger users will use it.[I don't want to criticise your work, so leave it]
Reason why best designers are not working for Blogger but for WP, because WP is for business[with this I want to say that u have good reason when u decide to start WP blog], you have to pay hosting(etc), otherwise Blogger is for everyone, is free, probably not for business. SO Blogger and WP are two different things, I dont think that Blogger want to be like WP, isn't #Blogger team goal.
But reason, why we love Blogger, because is simple, remember just 3 steps [same to sign for email account].
We can start a blogger blog, wherever, we dont need to think twice, because is free.
Anyway thx for this post, because was for good. Another time do a post to compare WP vs. Blogger, will be interesting :)

not supporting any.but dantei did you notice ' jobless like you to create free stuff ' that means cheth studios doesnt have time to create free templates because your previous comment had reference to designing templates. and cheth studios has made it clear in the blog post didn't you read it! i think you shouldn't use the word copy when he mentions in his post the code is not his. see he mentions it but you din read d blog post your mistake

ReplyDeleteBasically I just wanted to say you did a mutherfreaking amazing job recreating this. The score is now Blogger 1, WordPress 2 million, but it's a start.
Everything that can be done in WP CAN be done in blogger, just blogger doesnt attract as many design/dev types, therefore, not many using blogger know how to do these things, so no one has DONE them. But they can be done. Great job. :)
As lauren said everything that can be done in WP can be done in blogger too.
